Fire Ratings of MSC Assemblies

The Uniform Building Code 1997 Edition, Section 703.3, page 67 indicates fire resistance of an assembly may be established by calculation and in accordance with UBC Standards 7-7. This component additive method can determine a fire rating for the assembly from the concrete thickness, steel stud depth, and gypsum component.
